The waxing moon is setting now
I see it running to hide behind the mountains
It can\'t hide from me

Follow my voice through the wilds
And if our wails don\'t drag it back from the horizon
We\'ll be our own moon

Bathe yourself in my glow
And I\'ll drink my fill of yours
We\'ll gird ourselves in bonfire
and issue challenge to the sun

Beneath us the moon is dying
Its shining blood wells up across the crags
And its killer mounts the sky

And the two of us will follow
Echo our hunting song off the silver-soaked rocks
Leaving no footprint

Salve your wounds in my light
And I\'ll line our den with yours
Together we\'ll mount the summit
and issue challenge to the sun
