Now that you\'re gone
I guess I have to go clothes-shopping for myself on Christmas and birthdays,
And buy the kinds of things that make my mother\'s hair turn gray.
Now that you\'re gone
I guess I have to overfeed, overfuss, and overlove
Every small and fuzzy animal that I happen to run across.
Now that you\'re gone
I guess I have to throw wild parties for my family and friends
With food and entertainment fit for royalty.
Now that you\'re gone
I guess I have to be big-hearted enough to give lavishly to those who need it
And modest enough to not brag about it.

Simply by living,
You have taught me this:
The more you give love away,
The more you have.
Simply by leaving,
You have given me a mandate:
Go and do likewise.
Be happy. Share. Give.
Laugh. Enjoy.
Love.

It\'s a tough job,
But somebody has to do it.
My uncle Len passed away last month, and I wrote this for his memorial service. Plain and simple language. R.I.P.

This is a lovely ode to a departed love one. Very nicely done. I'm sorry about the loss of your uncle.
